National Water Policy Fly-In | April 8 - 9, 2025
Registration Now Open!
The National Water Policy Fly-In will take place April 8 - 9, 2025. On Tuesday, attendees will gather to network and hear from key senior EPA and other government officials and round out the day with friends and colleagues at the 2025 Water Week Reception. Wednesday will be reserved for attendees to meet with legislators on Capitol Hill. A joint one-pager will be available for attendees to use as a “leave behind” when attending Hill visits. The Fly-In is co-hosted by WEF, the National Association of Clean Water Agencies, the Water Research Foundation, and the WateReuse Association.
National Stormwater Policy Forum | April 7, 2025
The National Stormwater Policy Forum is an annual event co-hosted by the Water Environment Federation (WEF) and the National Municipal Stormwater Alliance (NMSA). This half-day forum is part of Water Week and brings together stormwater professionals, policymakers, and other stakeholders to discuss the latest legislative and regulatory issues affecting the stormwater sector.
The forum provides a platform for participants to engage with national policymakers, learn about current policy issues, and advocate for the needs of the stormwater community. Topics typically covered include updates on stormwater design standards, climate change resilience, and emerging contaminants like PFAS.
The next forum is scheduled for April 7, 2025. It will be a hybrid event, allowing both in-person and virtual attendance.
In-person event will be held from 11:30 AM to 5:00 PM at 660 North Capitol Street NW, Suite 400, Washington, DC 200011.
The virtual event will be held via Zoom from 12:00 PM to 5:00 PM Eastern Time.

Water Environment Federation’s Young Professional Scholarship
This scholarship will cover the registration cost to attend the National Water Policy Fly-In during Water Week 2025 in Washington, DC, as well as provide a stipend to help cover transportation, lodging and food costs. Scholarships will be available for 15 YPs from across the country in addition to a smaller stipend for 5 local YPs.

How to Participate in Water Week
- Contact your congressional office: Contact the offices of your members of Congress. Let them know it is Water Week and voice your support for the policy asks. Invite them to visit a water facility or project.
- Post to social media: Be active on social media. Use #WaterWeek2025 in your posts. Voice support for funding and policies outlined in the document. Tag your members of Congress. Follow and share posts from WEF on Twitter, Facebook, and Instagram.
- Publish an op-ed or blog: Use the policy request document as the basis for an op-ed for the local newspaper or blog for your website. Include local examples of why water is important and why investment is needed.
- Join WEF’s Water Advocates: It is a grassroots advocacy program that makes it easy for WEF members to engage with their federal elected officials on matters of importance to the water sector. Membership is free and you will raise your profile among your water professional colleagues as a champion for our sector.
