Process Automation Significantly Reduces Secondary Treatment Costs

wp012524_Emerson_Page_01.jpgThis whitepaper details how a U.S. water authority recognized a correlation with excessive oxygen utilization and existing manual controls, and therefore prioritized control of the aeration basin mixed-liquor depth and the effluent dissolved oxygen concentration as the main targets for automation. The results validate how automation can drive more efficient and cost-effective operations while decreasing energy and chemical use.
