By participating in this course, you will be required to purchase the Strengths Based Leadership Book (Approx. $20).  A code to access an online assessment will be provided with the purchase of a NEW publication, which participants will be asked to complete before the first webcast.  WEF will not supply the book for this course.

Please Note: This course will not give you access to the Water Leadership Institute live webcasts, in-person trainings, group chats, or their Final Project information.  Taking part in this course does not exclude you from applying to the Water Leadership Institute again in the future.

ILWS Frequently Asked Questions

Q: When will registration open?
A: Registration for the 2024 intake will be open from April 22 through June 24, 2024. The course will start June 6th.

Q: How do I get the member rate?
A: Registration for the course is linked with WEF's Single Sign On System, so it should be automatically linked. If you have any issues, please email OnlineTraining@wef.org

Q: Do you have to be from the US in order to sign up for this course?
A: No, this program is open to anyone from any country. We highly encourage people from outside the US to sign up.

Q: Does joining WEF under the e-Global member category attract the member price for the Integrated Leadership Webcast Series?
A: As an e-Global member, you will receive the WEF member rate. If you are just signing up, it may take up to 24 hours to show your membership online.

Q: Can I complete the Integrated Leadership Webcast Series at my own pace, and are there specific days that we’re supposed to be on the discussion board?
A: This course can be taken at your own pace as long as you finish by October 31. Videos are posted at specific times to encourage more interaction in the discussion board in the hopes more people will be in the discussion boards around the time the video is posted and lead to better conversations.

Q: Why can’t I access all the webcasts at once?
A: Our goal is to foster collaboration through this online course. Each webcast is posted on a certain date/time in an attempt to keep the majority of participants on a similar schedule and keep the discussions engaging for people as they’ll be happening at a similar timing. In addition, as the webcasts are pre-recorded during the WLI24, they cannot be released until after their live dates, which run through September.

Q: Are there quizzes at the end of the webcasts?
A: There are no quizzes at the end of the webcasts.

Q: Do you get a certificate of completion at the end of the course?
A: Yes, you will receive a certificate of completion at the end of the course if you have watched all videos in their entirety and posted at least 10 times in the discussion board.

Q: Will WEF supply the Strengths Based Leadership book?
A: No, WEF does not supply this book. You will need to purchase a NEW copy of the book on your own, which is less than $20 and includes a code to take the assessment. You can buy it directly from the Gallup site or anywhere else books are sold online. If you choose to buy with audible or kindle, the assessment code will be sent via email. Note that only new books come with a code. If you purchase a used copy, you won’t be able to take the assessment which we require for the course.

Q: How do I take the assessment? Where do I find the code?
A: Your book will arrive with an access code and a link with information on how to access the assessment. In hard-copy books, the access information is included before the back flap of the book. If you purchase the audible or kindle version, then you’ll receive an email with the access information after your purchase. Please check your spam folder if you cannot find it, and reach out to Amazon if it doesn’t show up.

Q: Can I take the assessment before I read the book?
A: Yes, the assessment is about your personal leadership strengths, so you can take it at any time. The book explains what your strengths mean and how to lead with your strengths, so you can read it before or after the assessment.
